The “Tethics” project aims at inculcating and increasing the awareness and comprehension of the ethical challenges involved in the design and use of technology. To achieve that, we are creating a serious board game to be used in education and training in the ethics of technology, especially in reference to the major technological challenges connected to the contemporary existential risks.
Therefore, our specific focus is on ethics of relevance to computing technology (e.g. artificial intelligence ethics), environmental ethics, and biomedical ethics .
The design of this educational game is informed by humanities perspectives on technology — namely, from the fields of Philosophy of Technology, History of Technology, and STS (Science, Technology, Society — Science and Technology Studies), as well as from the Digital, Environmental and Biomedical Humanities .
